Kimberly Carter

Before the creation of Carter and Cline, Kimberly held the title of Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Bruns General Contracting, of Tipp City, Ohio. Her specialty was helping customers; especially churches, medical entities and non-profit corporations, clear the pre-construction hurdles leading to successful projects. She began her career with that company in 1999 and enjoyed steadysuccess. Kimberly was the firm’s top sales performer two years running before assuming her final position there.

During her ten years with Bruns, Kimberly formed many strategic partnerships throughout the greater Dayton, Ohio region. These, combined with her community involvement and knowledge of all facets of the pre-construction process, make her an outstanding asset to any client contemplating a building project.

From first hand experience, Kimberly understands the day-to-day pressures experienced by individuals who run organizations. She ran a forty-five-person business from 1987 to 1999. Thus she has a keen appreciation of the challenges presented when that individual must assume the additional load of administering a construction project.

Kimberly excels as an effective interface between the owner and the numerous entities involved in any construction. She is a knowledgeable “people person” who truly understands the needs of the client and how to obtain the desired result in the most efficient possible manner.

Gary Cline

Gary ClineGary Cline has enjoyed a long and varied career spanning jobs in both the public and private sectors. Beginning in Miami County, Ohio as its first land use planner,  Gary completed thirteen years as Director of Planning and Development. Under his guidance, the county adopted its first land use plan, zoning resolution and building code. It was here and in his next two positions the he learned the value of government incentives in stimulating private development.  While with Miami County, Gary was elected to two terms as president of The Ohio Planning Conference.

From 1985 to 1995 Mr. Cline served as Assistant City Manager of the City of Vandalia, Ohio. In addition to standard administrative duties, he served as secretary to the planning commission. He also organized and implemented the city’s economic development program. During his tenure with the City of Vandalia, Gary was elected to three terms as President of the I-70/75 Development Association. This regional economic development leadership role gradually expanded and led to his next position.

In 1995, Gary became Executive Director of the Regional Office of Economic Development. In this role, he directed a combined initiative by the County Commissioners of Montgomery, Greene, Miami and Darke Counties to coordinate regional economic development and attract new business to the greater Dayton, Ohio area. Mr. Cline held this position until his retirement from public service in 1998.

The ensuing decade saw Cline entering the private sector as a business development representative with Ferguson Construction Company of Sidney, Ohio. During this time he became well versed in the strategies and tactics employed in construction sales. Working from the company’s Dayton office, he enjoyed a very successful experience serving as the initial point of customer contact and sales professional serving many industrial, commercial and institutional customers throughout southwest Ohio.

Gary Cline’s combination of public and private experience has resulted in numerous personal and professional relationships with contractors, architects, government officials, private developers, bankers, realtors and economic developers all over Ohio. This network of professional connections significantly enhances the value added service and assistance he can provide to customers.
